Manor RV Park ~ Estes, CO
We are now in Estes Park, CO (NE of Denver); got here Saturday mid-day. It's been a day of playing catch-up for me. Everyday so far has been travel, stop for something in particular (should only take a minute but ends up taking a couple hours), travel some more, find a place to park (mainly Wal-Mart parking lots b/c they are RV friendly & FREE - that's unless you go in & shop which we usually end up doing), eat & go to bed. Then, get up & do it again.
FYI - we left Tuesday 5/18/10 9:30pm ET officially. Made it to Hickory - yippee. Drove 100 miles exactly!! My personal goal (based on increasing pressure from Chip) was to leave on Tuesday no matter what!! Chip had wanted to leave the Saturday before BUT I knew that wouldn't happen. So, when he announced Tuesday late afternoon that "we ought to leave tomorrow" I said "no way Jose, hop in the bus & lets go".
I just got my blog "up & running" for the most part (I think). Will update soon with all past detail (got some real funnies for you). Will try to post future events & pix on a regular basis (if the internet access allows).
